ASSOCIATE CONTRACTORS

The Associate Contractors was developed over the last two years.

The company, Preferred Custom Builders, builds custom homes, log homes, additions, basements, and does subcontract work for a few select builders. They have been doing subcontract work for Admiral Construction Co. over the last 10 years. The owner, Dave, is always on the job and finds little time for estimating and contract preparation. As a result, he subcontracted the estimating and contract prep to Admiral.

Now Dave (The Associate Contractor) meets with his clients and gathers the information as described in Consulting and then submits it to Admiral and his sub contractors.

Dave has his subs send their quotes to both him and Admiral.

We proceed with a study and quantity take offs developing a list for any additional information needed at the next Associate Contractor's contact with his client.

Each run of the estimate on the computer is sent to the Associate Contractor for review and adjustments until as many as 5 runs are done to produce the estimate the Associate needs.

The Construction Agreement is then prepared for presentation to his client.

Change Orders are provided through out the job. The Associate phones in the figures/information  and a change order is sent to him to present to his client.

All documents have the Associate's Company Name on them.

As a result, Dave has more premium clients, better job cost control, clear contracts, and could use some more premium craftsmen to help. You can contact Dave here Contact Dave

Admiral does not communicate with the Associate's client and excludes itself from the job as a contractor.

Charges are 50% down and 50% when the Construction Agreement is signed.

Dave and I would like to add 4 or 5 more Associates (Contractors or Subcontractors) where all could support each other in any number of ways.

If you join us as a Associate, a Certificate of Insurance will be required from your agent showing Admiral as the Certificate Holder.
