There are millions of plans out there. Here are some good plans that I have used or reviewed.

Full and Premium Plans

Some of the best sets I have built from in alphabetical order.

Design Basics has good plans. They also sell plans by Carmichael & Dame. At Design Basics, click on "Quik Pics" and scroll down to the Carmichael and Dame link.

Her Home Education, ideas, and plans for remodeling and new homes.

Southern Cottages I have never used these but I liked his plans and web site.

Southern Living House Plans Plans for homes, cottages, gazebos, sheds, garages, barns, play houses, and landscaping.

Stephen Fuller You will have to join for a small fee, but will get a discount on plan sets as well as other benefits.

WD Farmer Lots of smaller "basic" plans for that starter home as well as larger homes.

Trim (Moulding)

What trim do you want where? Here are some web sites that have trim profiles. Also look at trim in houses and stores.

Randall Brothers This is a good building supply company. Go to Product Line/Mouldings and you will find moulding catalogs.

Burton Mouldings Good site.

Financing

Fannie Mae Click on "Homepath".

Federal Citizen Information Center Click on "Housing". There's lots of other good stuff here too.

Bankrate.com Everything financial.

Construction Glossary- Very helpful.

Building Science Corporation Very informative site about building construction. I use it myself.

Building Codes The two main Codes used around here are the "International Residential Code" and the "International Energy Conservation Code". State and Local Jurisdictions may have added amendments.
